Hello?

The 1990 Saab 900 Ultra is actually owned by Adae Farmer’s dad. I asked the dad to take his photo in it and he said, “You know what? Get my son - him and his afro will look more cool”. The dad was right and Adae happily obliged.

We took a few photos before Adae saw the old school car phone and put it up to his ear.

I snapped a few photos before I saw the flaw.

“Hey, uhhh…I think the phone is wrong way”.

I am just now realizing as I write this - just as we do mobile phones today, Adae positioned the dialpad of the car phone to this ear.

“Oh”, Adae said. “That’s how they used these things!?”
